Acá va una pequeña biografía de este artista:
Yoshua Okón nace en la Ciudad de México en 1970 donde vive y trabaja. Es tutor en Medios Alternativos del Fonca, México. En 2002 recibe la maestría en arte de UCLA con el apoyo de una beca Fulbright. En 1994 funda La Panadería, espacio coordinado por artistas en la Ciudad de México. Entre sus exhibiciones individuales más destacadas se encuentran: Risas enlatadas, Viafarini, Milán, Italia; Subtitled, Städtische Kunsthalle, Munich; Bocanegra, The Project, NY; Gaza Stripper, Herzeliya Museum of Contemporary Art, Israel; Cockfight, Galería Francesca Kaufmann, Milán; Oríllese a la orilla, Art & Public, Ginebra y Lo mejor de lo mejor, La Panadería, México D.F. Entre sus exhibiciones colectivas más destacadas se encuentran: Amateurs, CCA Wattis, San Francisco; Laughing in a Foreign Language, Hayward Gallery, Londres; La era de la discrepancia, MUCA, México, D.F.; Adaptive Behavior, New Museum, NY; Terror Chic, Spruth/Magers, Munich; The Virgin Show, Wrong Gallery, NY; Mexico City: an exhibition about the exchange rates between bodies and values, PS1, MoMA, NY, y Kunstwerke, Berlín. También ha participado en: Bienal del Mercosur, Porto Alegre, Brasil; Bienal de Estambul, Estambul, Turquía; Trienal del ICP, NY; Bienal de California, OCMA, EUA; Torino Triennale, Torino, Italia.
