Hazel, yes the snow is powdery, and it will brush off, otherwise it melts when in the car or the house. The problem is the soles of the boots retains some snow, so the first thing on entering anyone's house is to kick off the footwear. This habit remains all year long, so Canadians have mounds of shoes at the door and everyone shoeless. :D Theolfa
