Research on water supply of mango was carried out here in the frame of a joint project between Mae Jo University and the University of Hohenheim (Germany). The funding for the research was provided by Deutsche Foschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). The following related studies have been published:
Fukuda S, Spreer W, Yasunaga E, Yuge K, Sardsud V, Müller J. 2013. Random Forests modelling for the estimation of mango (Mangifera indica L. cv. Chok Anan) fruit yields under different irrigation regimes. Agricultural Water Management 116: 142-150

Research on water supply of mango and longan trees has been carried out at this station between 2006 and 2012. For a description refer to:

Experiments have been discontinued in 2012 and the area is nowadays dedicated to research of the Dpt. of Pomology of MJU
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I'm not sure where this photo has been taken. When I went on that jungle trek we just hopped on a 4x4 truck and we left Chiang Mai. Not sure what's the exact location of the track!
