 I am interested in learning what brought about your visit to Engelsbrunn and learning a little more about the small surviving German-speaking coummunity there.  Also, is there a town website that can be contacted? I would like to check on some old birth and death records.  These have nothing to do with my family, but with the family of a friend of mine.  I knew a man who died recently -- he was born there in 1922 and spent his first twelve years there before his family emigrated to the U.S.  In an ironical twist of fate he served in the US Army Air Force during WWII and was on several missions in which the Ploesti oil fields and other industrial sites were targets.
