ich versteh die diskussion nicht so recht: zu ddr zeiten war ich mal in neubrandenburg. da siehts doch auf dem bild hier schon mal besser aus als damals.

The comment is wrong too. The photo shows a view of Grand Canal Square with the red "Urban Jungle" rod sculpture and the "Altro Vetro" (Tall Glass in Italian) apartment block behind it. The Waterways Visitors' Centre is behind the apartment block, not visible, and currently closed.

The photo is quite old, as it does not show any sign of the construction of the Daniel Libeskind-designed Grand Canal Theatre next to the sculpture, now nealry comple.

This dome is in the wrong place. This dome should be one street further East over the National Museum. The dome it is pointing at is the dome of the Round Room at the Mansion House. The Mansion House is the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Dublin. The Round Room was the location of the 1st Dail (Parliament) in 1919.
