just to confirm, both Hampden and Ibrox are 5-star stadia. Hampden has the bigger capacity (slightly) and IT will be the main stadium for 2014 (there will be a temporary artificial pitch placed above the current one giving the right size for a running track). If you ask me, after that they should lower the pitch and fill in more seats so at least more people can get in for the few matches the stadium hosts. Parkhead is the biggest stadium of the three but as mentioned above its mediocre build quality and facilities have prevented it getting a UEFA-star status. I think if they rebuild the main stand to current standards it could probably get 4-star status. But neither Parkhead or Ibrox has a real chance of getting finals cos the club left out will cry "conspiracy!" and Hampden is the showpiece stadium of Scotland, even though the seats behind each goal give a pish view, especially for a ground rebuilt so recently. Murrayfield laughs at all Glasgow stadiums, but rugby snobs dont want fitba fans at their ground and Glasgow punters dont want to go to Edinburgh for finals. They would not be very welcome anyway! So simplythebest is more correct than RushnLusk but we are discussing the stadiums, i dont see the need to bring up the paedo 'facts'. No kiddies were molested by club officials in the new stands at Parkhead, so its not relevant.

I first went to Ibrox in 1964 and still get a feeling of excitement when I go now.

Up the Gers!
