I need some help. I noticed you tagged this photo near the intersection of Aquaview Ave and Rocky Point Rd. I am planning a cross-sound kayak trip and I am looking for a landing spot on the north shore of LI. Do you know if there is public parking and beach access to this area. From the Sat photo it appears there are stairs from street down to the beach. please let me know. greeneye82@gmail.com

Although there is the beach on the sound there, this is properly referred to as Petty's Bight, not Petty's Beach.

I went to school here circa 1968. It even had a real steeple back then for the perfect classic little red schoolhouse look.

Marlene Drive Homeowners Association Members have access to the park and beach.
Mattituck Park District Members have access to Veterans Beach offering a wide sandy beach overlooking Peconic Bay.
Members Of Mattituck Park District have use of the courts overlooking the water.
Great beach for walking to discover driftwood, sea shells and more.
