I live in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I work in the social sciences, though a lot of my college training was in fine art. I am exploring photography and would welcome any comment and critique. I had very limited photo equipment for the majority of these images consisting of a Sony cybershot 8.1 megapixel fixed lens digital camera. However, I upgraded to a Canon Rebel T1i 15.1 megapixel camera in December 2009. I have used photoshop for 10 years and have been using adobe lightroom. Most of my images are color and exposure corrected, others are pushed farther. I hope to document the beauty of the area of my childhood, (North Idaho). Thank you for visiting. Nice shot! Laetiporus sulphureus aka 'sulphur shelf', edible. Cut the margins off of the mushroom because the closer in to the tree you get the more dense and compact the fungi becomes. Some folks can have a reaction to this polypore so try a little at first. I think it tastes like bacon and eggs :-) Occurs in the fall. Tim
