A great place for a break on the Upper Salmon River.
Spring time in Queensborough. The shore line has been beatifully cleaned up in 2012 by Whitewater Ontario, and Ludwik and Elaine Kapusta on the left, and the Queensborough Beautification Committee and volunteers on the right.
First falls in a moderate spring run off on the Upper Black River. Apr. 23 2013. A very popular seasonal kayak run.
Upper Black River. You can get a real rush paddling this icy water in the spring time. It dries out in the summer, and can't be paddled then. April 23 2013.

Spring run off on Upper Salmon River. This falls is known as Stern Banger because the back of the boats often hit rock at the bottom when the boat levels out.
Remnants of a bridge for the Bay of Quinte Railway, built about 1903, abandoned in 1935 by CNR who owned it then. The right of way is badly over grown and not passable any more.
Around the first bend and into the canyon stretch on the Upper Black River. Don't dump your boat here, or you have a bad swim.
Ross Bridge built in 1923 across the Lower Black River.
