I am retired and exploring the world on foot, by canoe and kayak. You see and experience much more this way. No luxury resorts on some tropical beach for me.

And, as you know, this bridge is now blocked to traffic. A great rail fanning spot!

Lovely sky, spring is coming to Canada

Interesting building and history, like :)

Best wishes from Oshawa

Thanks for the info. I will incorporate it into mine.

Actually, the Canadian Northern Railway built this line in 1913. Canadian National Railway/VIARail Passenger service was discontinued in 1979. Freight last ran through in 1994 and the track was lifted in 1997.

Glad to share the photo, just give credits. Have you seen the other railway photos I have on Panoramio? I have 52 ghost railways of eastern Ontario now. PEC and COR are just 2 of them.

Location is in Georgetown (Halton Hills) Ontario in industrial area there. Very unusual to have palm trees. Have not checked if they have survived last winter. Adjacent picture with "elm tree" taken from parking lot in this picture.

Google Earth is the perfect place to share what we have seen and what we have found out about the subject items. Far better than a hard cover book that sells only 1,000 copies and looses you money. This way the whole world can learn a bit. I fear that some day when GE has far too many pictures, and is buried in spam, that we will loose our works along with the spam. I know of 2 spammers with about 100,000 photos, no info, or even titles, were dumped. Will GE set a 5 year limit on our work, a limit of 1,000 pictures or what? This is my on line book, and I do not have another copy with the stories, and maps as a back up. I have serious research behind most pictures. Those are my concerns. I cannot recreate it either.

nice photo steve do u want the cp schedule chris

As I said, "may have been" When you say it was trucked in, you seem to mean from some source other than the railway. I aim to be accurate, sometimes info is lacking. Is there more to the story? It is a cute little building.
