I'm annee mchughes of Colorado. Photography is my passion along with writing. It's in my blood - my maternal grandfather was a photojournalist, my grandmother and mother both writers. Disabled due to botched back surgery in 2000, I now spend most of my free time blogging, sharing photographs, and connecting with family members recently rediscovered. My first love is God, family is a close second. My husband is my hero. We have three sons, a daughter and a grandson. My kitties are Nani Ui Maikai (Nani) a Bombay who acts (and looks) like a miniature panther, Clementine (Snorx) a Clouded Tiger with an incurable respiratory condition, and Cleopatra (Cleo) a grey and white Egyptian mix who chews on people when she's hungry. Yep, we tend to take in all the critters nobody else wants. I was born in Sarasota, FL where I spent the first six years of life. I'd love to see photos of Sarasota around the old neighborhood. I lived on 9th St. near Gillespie Park with huge trees we liked to climb in. We also spent time in Lake Butler where my grandparents had a motel cabin court called The Lake Butler Motel, of all things. If anyone has information or photos of that area, I'd love to hear from you =) I hope you enjoy my meager photographic offerings. And thanks for sharing yours =)

The nest is an Osprey nest, which is why the title of this photo is: "Boat Restaurant with Osprey nest".

Lovely dancing Canadas. They almost get lost in the reflection of grasses.

How fun. I love the contrast between the woods and the colorful painted building.

Special effects done right. Really great work.

Awesome composition! Nicely done. I love all the angles - even the trees play into the lines.

This one is fabulous. The thumbnail crops out the portion of picnic shelter showing and it looks mysterious. Perhaps... Happy New Year Buck =)

magnifique photo, avec des couleurs superbes; j'adore.
