Si JJM, es una copia de una foto que sacamos en en Julio de 1982. Todavía no había cámaras digitales.

Dear Salidman, thanks for your kind comment!
The plaque is rather antique, which applies to the holes as well, which may have resulted from the damage irregular Brazilian squads caused in the aftermath of the Jesuitic episode from 1696 to 1768. The jesuits had to abandon the place by force and order of the pope and the virrey of Buenos Aires: Both had noticed that the Guaraní inhabitants of the jesuitic "missions" were too strong and too well educated to use them as slaves on the plantations of the Spanish conquerors.
More here.
Best regards

Dear Mr. Wardecker,
phonetically you may be right. As you surely know, the Count of Waldeck and Pyrmont sold a regiment of soldiers to the British Crown in 1776. They had to participate involuntarily in the American Independence War of 1775-1783. The German Wikipedia becomes more explicit on the destiny of the "Hassians": Many of them left their troops to fight on the other side and stayed in Canada or the U.S. For a similar text in English look here
