Tekst in het Nederlands, daaronder in het Engels. Text in Dutch, underneath that in English. English : As you can see from the photographs on my page, I am running a (very!) small scale camp site and 2 gîtes. Since we live near the religious community of Taizé we are getting a fair bit of trade from them. Apart from that, the area where I live (Chazelle, community of Cormatin, Dép. 71 = Saône-et-Loire, Région Bourgogne) is very rich in Romanesque churches, vineyards, beautiful rolling hills, lovely towns, villages, châteaux, etc. For more info, have a look at the "What to do & see" page and the photo pages on our website.

The right name is St. Marcel and not St. Michel.

La Tuilerie de Chazelle is an old tile making factory at the edge of a forest.

La Tuilerie de Chazelle is an old tile making factory at the edge of a forest. The distance between La Tuilerie and Taizé is approx. 3 km; Cormatin (restaurants, shops) is also 3 km away. The Voie Verte (a flat cycle path and skeeler track of 80 km long) is 2 km from La Tuilerie.

This is the lower entrance to the "four" (kiln) of the former tile factory La Tuilerie de Chazelle (71460 Cormatin). These types of four have normally two entrances, one lower and one higher. The walls are approx. 1.8 m thick.
