The larvae of this beautiful bug belonging to the family of lady beetles devours aphids which cause severe damage to a wide variety of plants.-- Great close-up job, Hugo!! Hello Hugo! How wonderful!!! To catch a bat in flight takes a very, very fast eye and absolutely a very great photographer! There are approximately 1000 species of bats world wide and I don't know what kind this seemingly tropical bat in the picture represents. However, they all deserve our love and admiration because they are the biggest helpers of men in the fight against insect pests! What our song birds do for us in day time, do bats night for night! So, please, lets love and protect them! (Only three out of thousand species belong to the family of vampire bats which ingest blood of mostly sleeping animals in South America only; and only those might, might occasionally present some danger to humans by carrying disease!)-Great photo of lovely animal!!
