Thank you shurelas I really hope one of two things will happen here to this lower section of the boonton line. 1 Hopefully NS will reuse soon and run freight trains West to PA. Only thing about the Boonton Line past Hackettstown "NS Washington Secondary" are low clearance bridges around four of them until the line joins in with the Lehigh Line so that is probably a main reason for NS not using the line yet. 2nd option would be the rail-trail if NS fails to use the line ever I do not want to see houses, malls, parking lots, office buildings etc when a Rail-trail can help preserve the ROW and give people a safe from automobile traffic path to exercise and commute in a green way.

I remember this station then Franklin end of the line was 1/2 block North. Before my time though I know Public service had countless trolley routes.
