This is a beautiful hike that starts at Big Meadows Reservoir and goes along the Archuleta River to Archuleta Lake 12 miles up. Wild flowers galore in July.

We will be staying here annually from May 1st until October 1st as we now own a site right on the bank of the Rio Grande River. Beautiful!

This is the end of the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline. Oil is pumped into these tanks awaiting tanker ships to transport it to refineries in the lower 48.
