From just below the s. crater rim, with the aptly-named "Misery Ridge" hiking route in the foreground, the tarn at the base of little Lewis Glacier beyond, and then the small lake a couple miles back of that with a hill behind it is Moraine Lake. Sparks Lake about five miles out. Some of the highest mammals in Oregon live here, at least in summer--Golden-mantled Squirrels.
