I started school at Milton-Union Elementary in 1955. I see the lights are on in my 5th grade classroom.

My grandparents would go there for Sunday dinner after church and would take me along. My Grandfather Christian loved the corn fritters. What a shame it is closed. Steve Christian

This place is great. The food is fantastic. i was in the area for two weeks and ate there almost every night.

I slept on the floor in this church on my 1996 coast to coast bicycle trip.

One bird on the roof means the thatcher has completed the job. Two birds on the roof mean the thatcher has been paid. I only see one bird.

This farm settled by the great-great grandparents of President Herbert Hoover. Quakers John Hoover and his wife, Sarah Byrket abandoned their property in North Carolina homesteaded this property in their effort to flee slavery.

This plaque commemorates the work of ex-slave, Hezekiah Jefferson who designed the sluice way of Rutledge Ditch through West Milton, Ohio.

Hezekiah was one of the "Randolph Slaves" freed by General John Randolph of Virginia. Some of them settled between West Milton and Laura, Ohio where they were assisted by the local Quakers.
