As you can tell, I don't check my account too often. This is rime ice. It grows from tiny crystals of ice carried in the wind. Contrary to what'd think from the picture, this "wave" was built by a steady wind blowing left to right. I can only speculate about why it gets thicker to the left. Perhaps it started to collapse under it's weight and built up again.

This is a nice picture, Tom. The light is just right. Good job.

That's about right. Once you leave the Milk Creek Canyon, it's 35-45 degree slopes to the summit block. My friend & I traversed north to ridgeline and then went up. As I recall, there were only two 10' walls that we had to get over (the picture is one). The rest is just steep and heart-stoppingly exposed.
