Yes, I think this photo was mis-labelled. The photo is actually of the Fraser River, possibly near Lytton, a long way from the Cheakamus River near Whistler.
This pool is partway up the slope from the river. About half way between the river and the logging road. I haven't been to the area for several years, and I know there have been new areas opened up. The spot you're describing sounds like it's nearer Halfway Creek's mouth at the lake.
