The park service has closed the area so that visitors can no longer climb up to the granary. However you can still see it from the park road below.

I missed this arch when I was there in October and it's FANTASTIC! I am definitely going to put this one on my list of things to see on my next trip!

This is a very nostalgic (and sad) photo for me.
My father was a friend of Mr. Day and would repair and maintain his refrigeration unit. I came with dad a few times and Mr. Day would let me have a free soda pop. Just behind the window on the right was the pop machine...a lift-top unit with pop bottles standing upright in ice cold water.
The family lived in the house on the left. Mr. Day had a very pretty daughter my age, but I was too shy to talk to her.
