Awesome picture! Moroni really stands out against the deep blue sky.Is this a recent Temple? The trees and surrounding gardens look new.

On February 19, 1942, President Roosevelt issued EO9066 that authorized the War Dept. to remove all people of Japanese ancestry from CA, OR, and WA states in ninety days. Lowell Sherratt (a Mormon local A&M seed salesman in CA) originally from CC, UT, brought six farming families along with their hard earned farming equipment here on March 22, 1942, to his father-in-law's (Bill Lamb) ranch. There was not sufficient water to support the families and within one year all the families moved on to other parts of UT, ID, and CO. Lowell Sherratt returned to UT and started Honeyville Grain. His youngest son is now the mayor of CC. Fred Oyama sued the state of CA related to land ownership. His case went to the Federal Supreme Court and it is the base that changed the Alien Land Law and Emigration law that discriminated against Asian. The Wada family moved to ID and they are the largest potato farmers in the state.

Very beautiful landscape und composition, fantastic colors and reflections!

Thanks for sharing the beauty of this canyon with the rest of us.

You are correct. The position has been updated and should show correctly some time in the future.

your photos are great, I feel like I am well traveled now. It was nice seeing where I went to college, and other places I have not been to for years, or have never been too. Thanks

This place is an AWESOME photo spot! Nice pic.

Very nice shot! I think I've been on that tall ship when it was at a tall ship festival on Vancouver Island a few years ago. In fact, I believe this picture was taken aboard that ship. We watched this ship (or one that looks just like it) have a mock battle with another ship out in the harbor! But I do like how you have 3 completely types of ships in the picture. It's a contrast in its own right. Great shot!

this is a wonderful city for a special holiday, well worth a visit. The countryside around is marvellous too. See Loch Lomond if you get a chance.
