I recently saw these tarns with the name Beaver Puss Lakes on the hard to find PicTour maps by Robert Kinzebach. You seem to be one of the few people that refers to these beautiful spots with that name. How did you hear about that name? I'm interested in the history of this area and hike here often.
This place was very quiet when I was there. If you drove through on a Sunday or even a weekend, everthing might appear to be closed down. I think there is a phone number to call if you want to buy gas at double the average price, but of course no mobil phone service. There was one small bar and grill and a bed and breakfast open when I was there.
Spectacular view! Pea Soup Lake is perfectly situated in its (rather large) bowl at the foot of Mt. Daniel. Very interesting history in the comments as well.

bellissimi i dettagli, ottima la scelta del bianco e nero in questa foto. --like-- Un cordiale saluto. Gaudenzio
Beautiful shot of Jade and No Name Lakes. Last week the little tarn near the bottom of the photo was mostly frozen and covered with ice and snow.
I recently hiked to Jade Lake. Beautiful area.
