I never realized it was a muschroom. But I can see the resemblance. To me as a child it was a welcomed shelter from the rain when we would be riding our bicycles and get caught in a shower. How grateful that I am able to see that the beauty of my long ago childhood has been so beautifully preserved as the Hochleite and other walkways along the Isar. One of the most beautiful areas in the world.
In my life this is sacred childhood ground. This is the restored Brunnen an der Hochleite. The vertical component is original but the hollowed log is new. The originial had tree bark and smaller logs supporting it. I lived in the neighborhood from Jan 31, 1955 to June 20, 1965 and have while living there from age six stopped by on walks and bicycle rides to drink from the fountain. Now it is only when I get to return to München that I, as a senior citizen, make my pilgrimage to the fountain. This is adjacent to the footbridge over the train bridge. The footbridge over the Grosshesselohe Brucke has been covered and closed over since the trains have gone from steam to electric, and one cannot walk alongside the trains anymore. Leaning over the footbridge and having the Dampf from die Dampflokomotiven blow into ones face was very exciting. Walking one's bicycle alongside the speeding trains was also quite a thrill. Over the footbridge is now a garden with a small house which at one time was a refreshment stand from which delicious Limonade, Eis, and various snacks were sold. A great stop on a bike ride or walk.

Der Weiher ist leider nur ein Strich in der Landschaft. Schade.

Hi,
ist in der Landkarte eingetragen. Kurz nach dem Tatzelwurm auf den Weg nach Oberaudorf habe ich das Bild gemacht.
