I have a picture of this church taken on the front steps during the summer of 1956. I was stationed in Baumholder at the time. It's one of my favorite picture's. The history of this church would make a great documentary. Thanks.

It brings back memories and a tear when I see this picture. I was in the U.S. Army and stationed in Katterbach fromm 1979 to 1982. I beleive they have been moved from the spot where I use to remember them at. A good picture.

dieses schöne Photo würde ich gern in dem von mir verfaßten Wanderführer "Zwischen Lago Maggiore und Comer See" veröffentlichen, der im März 2009 in deutscher Sprache im Verlag Reise Know-how erscheinen soll. die Zahlen im Titel sind wirklich die Jahreszahlen. Den Tag weiß ich nicht mehr: ich hatte noch keine Digicam

Hi Wutz. Dieses Bild zeigt einen der im Ortssprachgebrauch "Wasserlöcher" genannten Weiher. Diese sind durch das im Hintergrund zu sehende Bergwerk verursachte Geländeabsenkungen, welche sich mit Grundwasser und Regenwasser gefüllt haben. "Teiche" ist ein bischen die falsche Bezeichnung.
