My name is Bill Pontikakis. I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Electrical Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I take photographs when I go to vacations. It is one of my several hobbies. I own a Cannon digital camera and a Cannon digital SLR camera.

In this photo of New York City taken from the balcony of Empire State Building, at evening, you can easily see the intensity of light coming from Times Square.

This is evident as in the middle of the photo, in between the skyscrapers, the photo looks more white because of all the light coming from Times Square.
