I appreciate that very much!

Thanks Paul! (woooo-hooooo, up to 28 views!) Actually, he wasn't looking at me at all. He was watching the spillway of the dam, hoping for it to drop some fish his way. (What you can't see here are the other 127 gulls and night herons also standing there waiting for stunned fish to come rushing by them. I was at the top of the dam looking down. It's a fascinating place to be in June when the fish are running.

Thanks Paul - and actually, the sun was redder to the eye! While hazy skies on humid summer days gives this effect, the natural filter here was smoke from forest fires in Canada! But I also under-exposed by a few steps to be able to catch the color of the sun. (Well, my EXIF over there says -1.67...)The only adjustment I made was lightening the tree a bit so you could see the shags in it. (Love that radial filter with feathering in Lightroom - lets you adjust just a small spot and still look natural.)Hope your approaching summer is enjoyable :)

Indeed:  not one word!

Looks like a Roald Amundson commemorative activity.
Stunning shot!

Ah, I see:  a new camera! That seems to be the reason for the long absence ;-)
Great shot! A kind of brainteaser.

Magic moment, well captured. Like - Best regards Christos

Herb every time i walk here i find some thing new but it pays to set up before you even get there. you get no chance as you have to shoot very fast. thanks Steve

Love those light beams through the haze. Such a pretty foreshore too. Like a lot.

Greetings, Paul
