I wish I could tell ya, but I don't know anything about it. It is beautiful, though.

This is my favorite place in the BWCA & Quetico... that pool is almost surreal... I remember being able to see the bottom all the way through it, like a fish tank almost... great photo!

Awesome photo man.... I remember jumping off that exact same spot as a kid growing up in Ely... Kek is such a great lake-

The best view in the BWCA! Nice Shot -

My favorite waterfall in the BWCA...in springtime it fills that entire photo!

This was the first campsite I ever camped at as a child growing up in Ely...such a great lake!

Thanks, CAveMan!

I'm not a big fan of the yellow-brown pattern... what are your feelings?

Think your the only other UP person on this site so far, great photos from the tower btw!

Love this photo.... I'm so used to seeing the reverse angle, it's cool to see belmont from this side instead! Great pictures, ya'll had a great day for the tour :)

Actually, the majority of dogs I see when I'm out hiking are unleashed. Once you get off the Cape Henry Trail, noone seems to leash their dogs it seems like. I've never seen a ranger off the cape henry trail, but even if you ran into one, all they could say is, hey-put a least on that dog.

The only place it's an issue is from march-may around the birding station to ensure your dog is leashed, but that's just due to the people doing research work in the area not wanting dogs to get caught up in their nets.
