Hi Cham Green- I am part of a non-profit organization which has started an urban farm along Perlman Place on the lots where these houses once were. I love this photo and I'm interested in using it to show visitors and volunteers what was here 5 years ago. How would I go about getting permission to print it, or ordering a print? I was able to find a little more about the fascinating history of this building, which started as a church in 1902, became the Harlem Theater in 1932 and then returned to being a church in 1975.

Simkins Dam, used by Simkins Paper Mill. Dam was removed in 2011.
Now that deconstruction of the wall at the west end of the highway is complete, the highway to nowhere is back in operation (July, 2011).
