In contradiction to what you think: Panoramio ask the photo's to be put on the position from which you take it. Otherwise what would you choose with a wide angle lense?

Sorry, I couldn't find another way to send a reply re your comment on my Zululand photo. Panoramio ask that the marker for a photo be placed where the subject of the photo is not where the photographer is.

This is where my father grew up, together with his 11 brothers and sisters. In WWII they even found space to harbor 20 refugees.

This bay is one of the places to store retired nuclear submarines waiting to be scrapped. The tail of the boat clearly show that this is an old "Yankee" class
