That is a really good question you ask, and I don't have an answer to it. It is on the Taynuilt side of the Loch. Nor Wiki or any of the other pages I looked at don't say anything about it.

Hello, An interesting photograph with the hills in the background, but it is NOT the Bonawe Iron Works. The Iron Works are about 350 metres to the west of the location marked on the map for your picture. This image is taken with the photographers back to the Iron Works.
