Hélàs, elle n'existe plus aujourd"hui !

Deze grot was tussen 1976 en 1985 ons camping plekje! In die tijd waren mensen in de Canyon nog een zeldzaamheid, in de meestal 6 dagen dat wij er campeerden hebben we in die 9 jaar precies 2 keer mensen ontmoet, en dat waren gidsen van het gebied.

This is the most beautiful painting we ever seen on a building. You really think it's a gate, knowing that it's not possible in the middle of a city!

Uitzicht over de 3 meren op de Val de Merveilles, waar we langs liepen naar "onze kampeerplek".

Iedere morgen klommen we naar beneden ( ons tentje stond in een grot in de rotswand) en brachten de dag op ons strandje of in de canyon door.

We have roamed around 11 years in 3 areas, in France, arround and inside the Grand Canyon du Verdon. Up to 700 m deep, the 21-km-long canyon varies in width between 6 and 100 m at the bottom and 200 to 1500 m at its rim. Our tent stood on a cavern in the mountain wall, approximately 22 feet above ´our small stony beach. and in the Val de Merveilles. (really The Valley of Miracles),with more than 35.000 pre-historic engravings,the oldest drawings were dated back roughly to the year 2000 BC!! And in Italy we roamd on the Gran Paradiso in Val d'Aosta. Also this area puts on his name full honor is, it´s really a paradiselike location with many wild animals like herds verry shy mountain goats, or big groan marmots. In summertime with your backpack, roaming around, and in the night sleep and dream beside a fall. Then, for all 3 area´s you can truly see ; God created this world!! But please, respect nature!
