This is a great remember for me. I lived next door (to the right) during the 30s and 40s. This looks like it was taken in the 20s. In the cold Syracuse winters I went next door to shut the open doors after the engines went out to a fire so that the guys could come back to a warm hall. They were the best neighbors anyone ever had. The tall tower on the left was a tower to hang up the hoses to drain after use.
