Typical old house in Sandviken, 25 km from Baltic sea and bigger city of Gävle. These yellow houses were built for workers of the Sandvikens Järnverk (now Sandvik) and there were hundreds of them in Sandviken. Most of them are torn down now and new block of flats are built instead. The few remaining old yellow houses are in the Gamla Bruket (old town), some of them serve as hotels (guest houses, mainly for company Sandvik), the rest are private owned and highly valued.
