it might look that way in the photos but when your in it it's actually very humbling. The idea behind it is that it's supposed to show how frail life is and it's not something to be taken for granted. in that regards it does the job very well
thank you for letting me know when i was there i stepped out of the car quickly and i assumed that's what it was my family didn't know what it was. plus i didn't speak portuguese and they didn't speak english so made it tough.
i didn't take this picture in the old town. it was away from it and is located on the local brochure map. it said it was an old farm and that workers would sleep in the tower. i'm not possitive but i'm pretty sure it was on the same street as the library. (but i was lost at the time)
