And FAVORITE, of course. Best greetings, Jose.

makisupa do you have any sources?

i think north korea is a very troubled place yes, but most people aren't sent to the korean gulag unless they comit a heinous crime or comit political crimes. North korean farms are NOT the same thing as the korean gulag.

yes their prison system is a torturous nightmare but you don't see random arrests everywhere; police violence everywhere, in the streets. (i've traveled across more than pyongyang)

the poor in north korea don't live on farms. they are transient going from city to city in search of rations and work.

the cooperative farm in north korea is actually a better place to be though. the idea behind a cooperative farm in north korea is not much different than anywhere else except for the juche code people live by

aspects of their society scary, particularly the fact that the gulag isn't discussible. its a topic you must avoid wtih tourguides and any north korean. but the current new leader isn't hiding how messed up the country is like his predecessor. I kind of have to give him a little credit for opening the country up to business quite slowly.

why do i care so much.. again I've traveled. yes north korea has problems, but surprisingly it isn't all a a backwater craphole like most of haiti. parts of mexico. i've seen and interacted with villagers. I would feel safer there than traveling to mexico right now. There is virtually NO crime. If you fall off the tourbus you aren't going to get abducted and your kidney's stolen. yes they work hard on farms constantly but it is no concentration camp.

unbiased oppinions are always interesting to hear

Nice shot! Beautiful photo of the fall. LIKE! Greetings from Japan, Mokoppe.
