That is an amazing picture!

This family had never seen white people before. It isn't the tourist part of Africa.

This is the villiage outside of Toley. If you want to shop for local produce it is typical Ethiopian rural fare.

If you stay at the Sheraton you want a room with with an odd number or an even number that ends below 60. If you get a high odd number you will overlook the slum rather than the pool, fountain, or front.

This beaten path has only seen cattle for years. It was wide and dry enough to drive on...this time.

The Sheraton is THE place to stay in Addis. The Hilton is also nice but is much older (1960's)construction. If you are Italian and like a more family atmosphere you might like Ceasar's Court.

These are the actual terminals in Lamu. The one on the right is for Kenya Airways. The one on the left is for Fly540. Have fun and bring gum. The plane I was on did not pressurise very well during the trip back to Nairobi.
