If you drag the google map over to Green Rocks you will see a gaping hole in the landscape that is now earmarked for building a marina, Penlee means Flat Stone Headland and it is the original source of greenstone ceremonial axe heads hence the contemporary Green Rocks name.

What may appear to look like a weathered concrete path is in fact a concrete arrow pointing North for WW2 allied aircraft.
