My cousin, a long-time local police detective turned polygrapher, ordered a huge pizza with the works: mushrooms (which none of us like and some of us are allergic to), olives (which a couple of us like), onions (which we can't stand) and some sort of meat. Then he got the small cheese pizza that is in the background of this picture.
Candy Darling has closed. The corner is now occupied by Sweet Woodruff (798 Sutter Street), the casual TenderNob spot from the Sons & Daughters team that opened in January, 2012. A small cafe now offering weekend brunch.
Beacon track line opened on August 15, 1932. During the day service was a sign of black and white bars. At night using a beacon diopter with acetylene equipment.
Hundred and ninety-three meters of this point there is another Beacon on the road of Matamoros.
Both completed their service to vessels entering the port in operation at the estuary of El Salado, 20 August 1970.
