Thanks! A very different atmosphere than in summer too.

70 Montreal St - my old apartment in Kingston! :)

This building has been recently renovated and turned into a pub with beer, wine, and appetizer plates available. It now looks like this.

I am sad as I view these photos of the now demolished iconic Brighton Public School built in 1915. The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board inherited the school and property from the town but after deciding to build a new, generically institutional structure, the dispassionate trustees chose to destroy the otherwise valuable building without making any meaningful attempt to find ways to retain the historic building. The Brighton Town Council chose not to intervene, thus sealing the fate of the school which was unceremoniously demolished in February 2012. An affront to the memory of those who dedicated the property and money to build a superbly constructed school that served the youngest residents of Brighton for almost 100 years, and to the concerned residents who tried so valiantly to find an alternative use, but whose efforts were largely dismissed by those who had the authority to intervene, but chose not to.

That makes sense actually, since they eat milkweed to grow. Guess I just looked quickly and thought it was Joe Pie Weed. Thanks for stopping by and pointing me in the right direction:)

This photo primarily shows the Planetarium Dome at the Manitoba Museum, not the Concert Hall. Still a great photo though!
