My name is Ryan, I live in Portland, Oregon and travel around the northwest fairly frequently, camera in tow. I took some of these with my first digital camera, hence the grainyness and small image size. Most memory cards were terrible in 2000.

No cave-ins anywhere. It is fenced off at either end but theoretically if the gates were opened you can still walk right the way through.

Thank you Panoramio Friend, for your visit to my gallery and for offering very nice comments and Likes and Ys on the photos...Greetings from India....

Hi there. Todays Station at Polegate is on the site of the very first Station. When the line to Hailsham was opened the Station above was built, as you say a little to the East. A few years ago this Station was closed and todays Station was opened. This building and most of the platform has been demolished, but the main Station building survives as The Old Polegate Station restaurant and pub.

This is Beverly Drive just north of Santa Monica and South of Sunset, Will Rogers Park and the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Nothing to worry about 4runindingo! I have seen some of the articles about the building also, I know it has a history. I guess you have to be there on person to see how eery it is - specially at night. Drop by some day, i give you the tour! : )

Placemarker is in the wrong place... Where is this supposed to be????

This held up a railroad crossing -- note the earth ridge on the left and ride sides of the photo.

This isn't the original building from the movie. Apparently it burned down in the 1970s or 80s, and this building replaced it. Its too bad they didn't just rebuild the original building on the same spot :(
