Looking westward to the foothills of the Derbyshire peaks with Crich on the horizon.
Nottinghamshire does'nt have much in the way of interesting landscapes itself but our situation in Underwood provides us with excellent views of the next county & lord knows Underwood is certainly a place to look away from rather than to!
I confess that I am ignorant when it comes to wild flowers but these caught my eye when on a walk not too far from J28 off the M1!
Anyone know what they are?
This place was my second home throughout the 1980s & early 90s!
Although I've spent most of my life living in Nottingham I'm a north westerner at heart!

Interesting buildings, all part of the expanding Nottingham University. These stand on what was once the vast Raleigh bicycle factory!
Taken in the staff carpark at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre, (using my phone camera).
