Try Tarn Hows at 0600hrs. No tourists about except for an occasional deer (if you are lucky) Over the years the place has become too well known for its own good and what was a delightful ppiece of heaven is getting to be somewhat like the M6 on a Bank Holiday. Litter is also a problem nowadays.

I know, quite large too. The photo is about 4 years old so maybe they're not breeding this type any more. It was one of those lucky photos where you lean across the barrier as far as possible and snap away at arms length. cheers Dave Atkin
