Odziena's Manor Palace that was built in mid 19th century used to be one of the most impressive Gothic Style structures in Latvia. It has similar analogs in Germany and Poland - Kitendorfas Palace in Germany, Bedlevo Palace in Poland (19th century). In year 1905 during rebellion the palace was burned down. After WWI it was partly restored. Unfortunately now the building no longer has roof, ceilings and windows.
Aika vaikeaa tuntuu oleva saada mistään selville sitä, millaisia suunnitelmia linnoituksesta oli tehty.
Itse tuossa louhoksessa on etualalla tuoreemman louhimisen merkkejä, suht modernin näköisiä kiviporan jälkiä ja ei jäkälää. Taka-alalla näkyy hieman vanhemman näköistä louhosta.

Great little fortress. I've spent one night at that place. Sleeping in a car. Great experience! Thanks for the photo!
