Gymea Lillies are abundant in parts of Port Stehens, NSW. They grow as a small shrub with dramatic flower stems up to 4 metres tall. These were snapped near Gan Gan Lookout on the way to Nelson Bay.
This photo was taken during trek through the interior of Lady Musgrave Island and depicts some of the hundreds of birds which make their home there. The island sees so few visitors that the birds are completely unafraid and do not move when approached.
