Nice picture, bringing up good memories. I know the area quite well having done much exploration for gold there. Sorry to say that Batopilas is on the Batopilas River and not in the so called Copper Canyon. The latter is the canyon of the Urique River. If you go 17 km almost due westfrom Batopilas you see the new El Sauzal open cut gold mine. This is located on the flank of the Copper Canyon.
