Nice photo! i too had a photo at this spot.

I had a summer job for the Forest Service in 1964 and spent the summer working the Glacier Wilderness Trail. There was a section of the trail as you entered Burro Flats (near where the photo was taken - I think) that went dangerously close to the edge of a steep drop into the canyon to the right. We re-routed the trail so that it didn't pass so close to the cliff-edge.

During the whole summer we only saw one other group of people - a family of Swiss mountain climbers tackling Gannett Peak.

DO YOU REMEMBER HOW DID LHASA LOOK LIKE IN THE FILM SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET? 21st CENTURY LHASA LOOKS LIKE RABBISH IF COMPARED WITH 1930s'S LHASA. THIS IS THE CONSEQUENCE OF CHINESE INVASION IN THIS MAGIC ROOF OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!

This is only the end of the road, and the start of a wonderful trail to the top

Uh, as far as I remember, this is located as bit more "down the road", which means to the east from here. In other words, pass the building, turn right and follow the road a few meters. But first of all I'm not really sure, and secondly I've been there 'bout two year ago. :)

I guess I've taken it here. Let me know if you know better. :)

in term of natural beauty this is the best airpoart i have ever seen.
