Between the 50´s and 70´s it was a Swift warehouse served by it´s own railroad side track
from the Western Pacific Railroad who had it´s
main line running in the middle of the street.
When I was there in May 2008 (and took this picture)there wasn´t any signs so I don´t know
who´s using it now. Nice building though.

Can anybody tell me what the white van on the picture have on the roof ? Is it a camera ? Is it one of Google´s "street view" camera cars ?
This is the former Western Pacific Railroad station on 3:rd street in Oakland. The tracks are long gone but the building still look great.
