This mosque were built in 1894 situated in Rudolph street,South End, now Walmer Blvd.
The story i heard as a child is that the preacher were shot when doing the morning prayer over the loudspeakers every day at 6am and 6pm in the early 1950 or 1960's. At time South End were a very dense populated comunity

Just for interest sake, this is the first houses built in Port Elizabeth in the very early 1800's
