David Carr's conversations

Thanks again, Andy! I wasn't going to take this shot, but have friends coming to the Peaks for a hike and wanted them to see the crossing of Burbage and let them know they may get wet! ;-) Best wishes - D

Hi Andy - Thanks for the lovely comment. We always feel blessed to live here - particularly with the heather in bloom and no rain!! Best wishes - D

Hallo Wolfgang - es ist immer schön, freundlichen Kommentare zu erhalten! Dank und meine besten Wünsche, von David

Thanks, Bill - most kind! Best wishes, David

A lovely little Bronze-age stone circle on the moor above Beeley, often overlooked thanks to its ear neighbour Hob Hurst's House, a more clearly defined ancient monument. There are between 10 and 14 stones in this circle with only one in an obvious upright position. The remains of a cairn still lie within the circle and are easily visible. English Heritage have recorded other outliers or separate stones outside the circle which may indicate the presence of an avenue.

Thanks, Antonio - I really appreciate your kind compliment! Best wishes - David

Nice thought, Jim! I'm not sure if these guys would let me take their prized antique plough out of their front garden! Best wishes - David
